They’re rolling out the barrels with traditional German beer like Leffe Blonde, Stella,  Hoegaarden and Budweiser and traditional German Food which includes Breaded Chicken Escalope, Grilled Pork n’ Cheese Sausages, Baked cheese cake with berry ragout and whipped cream & many more delicious dishes. To add to the madness, Beer Pong, Beer Drinker, Beer Stein Race and Beer Sculling will be on all day. Bands such as Parikrama, Reggae Rajahs, Ska Vengers, Blue Monks, Autumn Home & Kitty Su’s in-house DJ just to name a few, will be performing.

Architecture of Jazz | Workshop by Rainer Pusch

A two day workshop on Jazz covering origin, history, jazz harmony, improvisation, arranging and suggested listening along with live demos.

About Rainer Pusch | A professional saxophonist, arranger and composer, Rainer started his journey into jazz way back in 1970. During the years 1977 to 1983 he studied saxophone, classical flute, jazz composition, jazz ensemble and big band arranging in Germany and New York with the likes of Pony Poindexter, George Coleman, Elmar Bringezu, Jerry Bergonzi, Andy Mac Gee, Billie Pierce, Joe Viola, Phil Wilson and Herb Pomeroy to name a few. He completed his Diploma in Jazz performance from Berklee College of Music in 1983. Along with performing, arranging, composing, Rainer has been teaching professionally since 1979 in Germany and France.

This workshop is intended for anyone who wishes to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for Jazz.

Parts and Pieces: A Musical Mosaic 

The Stop-Gaps Choral Ensemble, Mumbai, performs a programme of choral gems from its vast and popular repertoire.

Picked from classical and religious masterworks, show stopping numbers from musicals, pop hits and all time favourites, the concert will feature Beethoven’s “Ode to Freedom”, Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus”, selections from “Cats”, “Oliver”, “Chicago” etc, arrangements of songs by The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel and other musical giants of the 60′s, Bollywood re-mixes and original compositions written exclusively for the choir. Marie Paul, the Goddess of Gospel, and Mumbai’s 16 year old singing sensation Tara Sutaria have enthralled audiences recently with their solo renditions and duets. Partake of this musical feast and be a part of this experience!

International Short Film Making Competition | ‘Spoofphmania’ 

Calling filmmakers for an upcoming International Short Film Competition- This competition is a part of SPOOFHMANIA, a film festival on Spoofs & Parodies (www.filmbooth.in/spoofhmania). The idea is to bring out the best of spoofy work there is, globally, and reward all the talented film makers for their talent, creativity and love for the genre.
The best films from the Competition shall be rewarded and screened during the SPOOFHMANIA Festivalwhich will take place at New Delhi & Mumbai in early Nov ’12.  The last date for submission of Competition Entries is 15th October 2012.
