{Letter Note | The Big Black Book}
For all stationery hoarders | We’d like to believe that this book was inspired by LBBD :) {one of our writers got this notebook as a gift from a friend!}. But assumptions aside, this is a notebook we’d recommend for its good quality of paper, price point {very budget friendly}, and if a black book isn’t to your liking, Letter Note has quite a few other design options for one to chose from. {Rose Cafe | 2 Westend Marg, Saidulajab, New Delhi, # 2953 3186}
For the Café junkies | If coffee and conversations is your calling and you’re up to try a new destination, drive towards the Garden of Five Senses and to your right you’ll spot a pop of pastel pink calling you in. Owned and run by the lovely and incredibly warm Sarita Ahuja, this beautiful space is and upcoming and promising destination for all café lovers. Our favorite dishes from the menu? Ploughman’s pizza and their desserts! Lemon cake, peanut butter cookies, and a fine slice of their espresso cake with a cup of steaming coffee or their iced Vietnamese coffee. Bon Appetit.
{ The Bookshop | 13/7 Jorbagh Market, # 2469 7102 }
For the Bookworms who refuse to join the Kindle revolution | There’s something magical and mystical about browsing through shelves of books, reading pages of a book that interests you before you decide to take it home.. If books remind you of moments and memories, and the comfort of sitting in a book shop surrounded by a plethora of books is what appeals to you, then drop by The Book Shop in Jor Bagh. This place is an institution of sorts for all residents of Jor Bagh, and Mr. KP Singh who sits behind the desk is your one stop for all your queries regarding books. Have a look at their Facebook page here.
{ From the World Wide Web | Longreads.com }
‘Longreads are changing the way people read online’ | This curated guide of the best reads from some very popular and populated sites {think New Yorker, The Atlantic, Esquire etc} has pages and pages of interesting articles from all over the web. The good part is- they’ve done the browsing, rummaging and scouting for you. All you have to do is go through the quick summary they’ve put on display and read more. For those bored at work, sick of flitting through pages and pages of cluttered junk, this is a good bet.
{ Raghu Dixit | ‘Antaragini’ }
For music we can’t get enough of | We saw him perform with Shankar Tucker at The YP Foundation’s 10th Birthday Celebrations recently, and to say that this man is nothing less than a maverick would be an understatement. He had the crowd- uncles, aunties, kids and found adults- on their feet. Riveting, enthralling, this is what good music sounds like. We’re awaiting his upcoming album. Listen to his songs here.
