Why are we telling you about one specific camera by one specific organization? Maybe because they’ve decided to give one away exclusively to the readers of LBBD!
More details soon. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on this beauty.
Take the worlds favourite plastic camera, The Holga 120. Now make it 35mm so that everyone can use it, change the boring black plastic body into a small, compact classy exterior with several design options, add multiple exposure capabilities, a convenient film cartridge window, the ability to attach a flash and a super wide angle lens and you get lomography’s latest offering – The La Sardina {With Fritz The Blitz}.
The La Sardina is based on the design of Sardine cans and its great for sharp, contrasty photographs. There is a choice between two shutter speeds. 1/100(N) for regular use and a Bulb(B) mode for night-time/low light conditions. The aperture is fixed at f/8. Which basically means, all you have to do is make sure the subject is decently lit and shoot away. Point and shoot, but with the quality and fun of shooting film. With its limited exposure controls this is no camera for professional photographers- But surprisingly thanks to its ease of use and sheer fun I think i’m definitely taking this one on my next holiday or when i’m walking around the city. {Ref, Lomography 10 golden rules: rule number 6}
They are constantly adding new designs to the roster, from plastic ones to versions with metal bodies. Although the functionality remains the same, you get that one thing that analogue lovers hold very close to their heart – A unique personality!
