About | There was a time when the only opportunity for top Indian galleries to interact with their foreign counterparts was through renowned international Art fairs such as the Frieze Art Fair {London, UK}, The Venice Biennale {Venice, Italy}, Art Basel {Miami, USA} and other such fairs all over the world. Today, the 31-year-old founder and director of the IAF, Neha Kirpal has brought various internationally acclaimed Art galleries, artists, collectors and museum spokespersons to the capital. Despite being one of the youngest art fairs in the world, IAF has earned a reputation of being revolutionary for the Indian Modern and Contemporary Art Market.
This year, Neha has maintained an approximate 50-50 ratio between the Indian and International galleries participating in the fair. This gives Indian artists and galleries a platform to exchange their ideas with visual artists and galleries from across the world. For the participants it is prestigious to showcase their work as the selection process is difficult and the cost of a booth is approximately Rs. 7 lakhs!
The 4th edition of the Art Fair will feature 98 Exhibitors from 20 countries, thought –provoking Public Art Projects, Book Launches, a Video lounge, an Art Book store and a Four day Speaker’s forum.
You gotta go! | Whether you’re an art collector, art aficionado, upcoming artist, or just plain curious, this is your one chance to experience the best of National and International Contemporary Art!
Some of the most eclectic personalities from the world of art will be at the IAF. Moreover, it will showcase the works of creative geniuses in the Contemporary Art world today. If you’re an established collector this is a great place for you to add to your collection. If you are a young collector, the fair will educate you on “how you don’t have to be a millionaire to collect art”. If you are an art lover you will be able to see multiple mediums in one space. Besides the galleries, there will be various interactive art projects, site-specific installations and video art.
Very few people get the opportunity to be exposed to visual artistry in this way, and true art connoisseurs will be flying down for this event. If you are a Dilliwaala, you’ve gotta attend this!
